Renewal agreement: Effective July 1, 2017, to June 30, 2019. Ratified on Dec. 14, 2017. Signed on Feb. 26, 2018. 
Wage adjustments:

Shift premium: $1.25 per hour for work on Saturday or Sunday. $1.25 per hour for work on shifts in which 50% or more of hours worked are between 4:30 p.m. and 6 a.m.
Paid holidays: 12 days, plus Stampede parade morning (paid holiday portion is equal to half normal working hours for day). Period between Dec. 26 and Jan. 1 are paid Christmas float days. 
Vacations with pay: 1 1/4 working days per month to start, 15 days after 2 years, 20 days after 5 years, 25 days after 13 years, 30 days after 21 years. 1 year’s vacation entitlement may be carried forward to next vacation year. All hours remaining in vacation balance will be paid out upon termination of employment. 
Overtime: Time and one-half for first 3 hours of work, double time thereafter. 
Medical benefits: Employer will provide health-care spending account: $835 for full-time employees, $500 for part-time employees.
Dental: Employer pays 50% of premiums, employee pays 50% of premiums. 
Sick leave: 1 day for each month worked, maximum 12 days per year.
LTD: Employee pays 100% of premiums. 
AD&D: Employer pays 100% of premiums. 
Life insurance: Employer pays 100% of premiums. 
Pension: Local Authorities Pension Plan.
Bereavement leave: 7 days for death in immediate or extended family (spouse and respective parents, stepparents, guardians, in loco parentis, grandparents, grandchildren, children, stepchildren, foster-children, siblings, stepsiblings, aunt, uncle, brother or sister of employee’s spouse, other persons whom employee considers to be family as approved by supervisor/manager/chair). One-half day to attend funeral of persons specified as immediate or extended family.
Call-in pay: Minimum 3 hours’ pay at overtime rates or equivalent in time off. Flat rate of $20 for travel time.
Probationary period: 6 months. 
Discipline: Sunset clause is 36 months (unless it is determined by associate vice-president, human resources or designate and president of MRSA that nature and severity of action warrants retention of record).
Severance: 3 weeks of salary for each year of service, maximum payment of 52 weeks of salary.
Uniforms/clothing: Employees will be supplied, at employer’s expense, with all necessary tools, protective clothing, safety footwear, safety equipment, other protective devices which will be replaced when necessary. Uniforms, including work- and weather-dependent clothing, will be supplied for employees in appropriate departments.

Editor’s notes: Personal leave: 2 personal-leave days per year with pay for discretionary use by employee for situations that are not covered elsewhere in agreement. Leave will be pro-rated for part-time employees. Cannot be carried forward. Standby pay: One-half hour’s pay at regular rate or equivalent time in lieu for each 4 hours on standby or any portion thereof on day that is not paid holiday. For standby on paid holiday, 1 hour’s pay at regular rate or equivalent time in lieu for each 4 hours on standby or any portion thereof. Recreation facilities: Employees, former full-time employees who have retired, will be entitled to receive recreation membership free of charge which entitles them to use of recreation facilities and equipment.
