Wilkinson Construction employees in Toronto ratify new contract

Boot allowance raised, higher pension contributions in deal: CLAC

CLAC, Local 52 members employed by Wilkinson Construction, based in Toronto, unanimously ratified a new collective agreement on June 18 providing them with wage increases and other improvements.

The three-year contract includes a total wage increase of up to $6 per hour, a $50 annual increase to the boot allowance, the introduction of a foreperson rate, a $0.10 per hour increase to the pension plan and general updates to the collective agreement language, said the union.

“We were able to secure good increases for our members,” said Joshua Vanderlaan, CLAC representative.

Wilkinson Construction employees work in the Greater Toronto Area. They have been represented by Local 52 since 2013, said the union.
